Hi, I'm

Caroline
Gonçalves

I came from finance. That's why I get to the data myself.

Senior Product Manager. Right now I run product alone at Tempo, an AI platform that handles payments and tasks over WhatsApp. 400 clients, 12 engineers, 30 people in operations. Discovery, PRD, design and launch all come through me.

10+ features shipped solo in 6 months

Caroline Gonçalves, Product Manager, smiling at the camera.

Numbers I can actually defend.

Each one has a case behind it, with the context and with the part I can't claim credit for.

10+features shipped in 6 months, on my own, at Tempo
R$100K+in MRR from a single feature at Ploomes
75%faster platform-wide search response time (Ploomes)
400clients served by the platform I run today

Four things I do whether or not anyone asks.

If it lands on my desk, I fix it

One feature moved no metric at all, so it never made the engineering queue. The assistant team suffered through it every single day. I built the replacement from scratch and debugged it when it broke.

Data before opinion

I ran the first churn study Qulture.Rocks ever had. Nobody asked for it. The 2024 strategy was about to be written on hunches, and I would rather it rested on a statistical test.

I'd rather learn fast than wait for the right job title

I've been PM, designer and product marketing at the same company in the same quarter. None of those switches came with a manual, and none of them slowed me down.

Autonomy only works with process

I run product alone for 12 engineers and 30 people in operations. That holds up only because I write clear PRDs, communicate decisions before anyone asks, and know how to freeze a priority. Drop any of the three and it falls apart within a week.

From people who worked with me closely.

She brings a strategic eye to product and discovery, combining technical knowledge with exceptional communication that lifts the team and creates a light, collaborative, motivating environment.

Vânia Cristina SantosSr Product Designer, same squad

Carol is an incredible PM. She was central to building our continuous process for collecting and monitoring customer feedback, and supported 3 squads with business and customer analysis. Extremely organised, proactive and customer-focused.

Davi Cesar Correia Jr.Lead Product Manager @ Nubank, direct manager

Caroline is one of those professionals who makes a difference from day one, with a tireless drive to learn and genuine curiosity about product.

Maria Fernanda TavaresSenior Product Manager @ Grupo OLX, same company

Carol always pushed to understand engineering better, which makes her a complete PM. She grasped the product motivations and the engineering constraints at the same time.

Fellipe SenaSoftware Engineer, same squad

I had the privilege of being mentored by her early in my product career, and I learned a great deal. About product, about leadership, and about navigating different contexts with confidence.

Isabella Camargo GonçalvesAI Product Manager @ Ploomes, mentee

Carol's sense of urgency, backlog prioritisation and long-term vision surprised me. Not only her availability, but the real positive impact she generated for the company.

Senior AI Product Manager

Tempo, an AI platform that handles finances, tasks and scheduling over WhatsApp

The company's only PM, running product end to end for 400 clients, 12 engineers and 30 people in operations.

  • Spotted a bottleneck in service template generation on my own and built a replacement in Lovable that cut creation time by up to 90%. See the case
  • Took engineering's payment-error investigation tickets to zero. I mapped 28 errors across Pix, Boleto and TED and turned an obsolete notification screen into an operations hub, from discovery to launch in 1 month. I also designed the AI automation that resolves the error and notifies the client over WhatsApp. See the case
  • Automated task follow-up with AI, including a dual comment system: external comments trigger an automatic WhatsApp update to the client, internal ones stay with the team.
  • Shipped 10+ features in 6 months across payments, task automation and operations tooling: scheduled payments, automatic statements, attachments, weekly preview, cost approval, portfolio tags, AI-integrated client notes, automatic boleto fill and satisfaction surveys.
  • Defined validation rules for Pix, Boleto and TED including automatic cost-splitting logic, and mapped every platform module to design the B2B SaaS pricing tiers.

Product Manager

Ploomes, a sales CRM for small and mid-sized businesses

A 13-person squad across design, engineering, QA and support.

  • Generated R$100K+ in MRR from a single client by scoping, prioritising and shipping a support-and-deals merge feature in 45 days.
  • Rebuilt the Pipeline Selector end to end, improving both performance and usability.
  • Cut average platform search response time by 75% with a global search designed from usage data and customer feedback.
  • Introduced the company's first structured PRDs, using User Stories and MoSCoW.
  • Took hyperlink access in tasks and events from 5 clicks to 1.
  • Mentored junior colleagues on stakeholder management, discovery, documentation and career.

Product Manager and Associate PM

Qulture.Rocks (UOL), performance management and organisational culture

I brought generative AI into performance reviews at the very start of the ChatGPT boom. It's one of the projects I'm proudest of.

  • Built an AI feature that summarised reviews for managers ahead of the feedback conversation and suggested next steps tied to the development plan, replacing a full manual re-read.
  • Ran the company's first churn study. A chi-square test showed that clients using only Performance Review cancelled far more often. I turned that finding into a product bet and moved the development plan from occasional use to a year-round tool, with reminders on two channels and filling it in straight from Slack. See the case
  • Led the Product Analytics platform migration and the event tracking structure.
  • As Associate PM, built usage and adoption funnel dashboards, created a unified feedback process across sales, CS and product, and wrote the company's metrics dictionary and product OKRs.

FP&A Analyst

VMK Holding and Construtora Stéfani

Almost three years reading business numbers before I became a PM. That's where the comfort with data comes from.

  • Built the budgeting process for 26 franchises in the Todos Group, from projection assumptions through to tracking.
  • Projected budgets, ran GAP analyses and prepared cash flow forecasts for 180 real estate projects and the group's holding companies.
  • Built and maintained the Corporate Dashboard and wrote SQL reporting off the Mega ERP.
  • Created a project to catch financial entry errors, tracing cost centre, financial class and project mismatches by query.

Outside work.

Between 2021 and 2023 I was a digital nomad across Brazil: Maranhão, Piauí, Ceará, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Rio de Janeiro and a good chunk of São Paulo. I think it's the same part of me that likes walking into product with no path laid out. Changing city every few months is also deciding without a map.

These days I swim, training for open water competition. No lane, no wall to hold, just discipline and the decision to keep going. And I'm always in the middle of some novel, because a system or a world that's too complex is something I can never leave alone, in fiction or in a product.

If the problem is hard, come find me.

I like talking about product, about deciding on incomplete information, and about small teams that ship. If that's your thing too, send me a message.
